Manchester United has confirmed that goalkeeper Mary Earps is departing for French club Paris St-Germain.

Leaving on a free transfer after five years, Earps signed a two-year deal with PSG, seeking regular silverware despite an extension offer from United that met her expectations.

The 31-year-old England keeper, renowned as one of the world's best, helped United secure their first Women's FA Cup last season, making over 100 appearances for the club.

Earps was awarded the FIFA Best Goalkeeper in January and named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2023.

She played a crucial role in England's Euro 2022 victory and their journey to the 2023 Women's World Cup final.

Earps joins other high-profile exits from United, following Alessia Russo's move to Arsenal and Ona Batlle's transfer to Barcelona.

Recently, United also confirmed captain Katie Zelem's departure after not offering her a new contract, while Spain's Lucia Garcia has joined Mexican club Monterrey.

Meanwhile, United is set to sign former Arsenal defender Dominique Janssen and remains hopeful of securing Brighton forward Elisabeth Terland, both on free transfers.
