Everton manager Sean Dyche remains secure in his position despite a poor start to the season, leaving the club winless and bottom of the Premier League.

According to club sources, Dyche has earned goodwill from his 20 months in charge, where he successfully steered the team away from relegation.

Despite Everton's 3-2 loss to Aston Villa—marking their fourth consecutive defeat this season, a first in 66 years—Dyche retains the backing of the club’s hierarchy.

The former Burnley boss is also in the final year of his contract as Everton faces a potential takeover by American businessman John Textor.

Textor, Crystal Palace's co-owner, is in the process of acquiring Everton's majority stake from Farhad Moshiri, pending the sale of his 45% share in Palace.

Dyche’s future could depend on the outcome of the takeover, which is set to be completed by November 30 if Textor meets Premier League ownership rules.

Despite recent struggles, Dyche remains focused, acknowledging the ongoing challenges.

"I didn’t expect everything to be solved because of last season’s strong finish. There are big issues to address, and that’s my responsibility," he said after the Villa defeat.
